10 Days to Embody Qoya Introduction

Hello!

Welcome to EmbodyQoya.com!  We're so glad you're here and looking forward to dancing together.

EmbodyQoya.com is designed to be a resource for you, a guide to give you step-by-step instructions in learning how to move the way your feminine body wants to move. EmbodyQoya.com is like the workout buddy that always shows up. In the convenience of your own home, or on the go, you have an abundance of choices to move in a way that resonates with you.

The 10 Days to Embody Qoya pages on this site take you through 10 different exercises to re-introduce you back to your body and to remember how to have fun while moving.  Yep, I said it.  Fun.

Too many moments have been lost to the obligatory feeling that one must suffer through working out.  It’s just not true.  You can learn how to move your body in a way that feels good and then you can apply that to a continued practice of Qoya or integrating it into any other styles of movement or training that you desire.

Drawn from the wisdom of yoga, creative expression in dance, and the pleasure found in sensual movement, Qoya's focus is to help women enjoy and revel in their feminine bodies.

You’ll still get to "exercise.”  You’ll sweat.  You’ll strengthen.  You’ll increase your flexibility, balance and agility. You’ll be in better health if you move more often.  AND beyond exercise, you will learn how to locate the physical sensation of the divine in you, to feel the pulse of life and to let that force move you.  You will remember day after day that you are a woman that is wise, wild and free.

This is experiential.  Your epiphanies and a-ha’s will not come from nodding your head at another computer screen.  It’s time to get moving!  Make a commitment to yourself and be realistic. More than realistic, be kind.

What will work best for you? I recommend jumping in and doing these short 5-10 minute exercises everyday and doing 10 days in a row.

After your ten days, start to think of what is best for you? A month-long intensive? Doing these exercises daily to get back into your body and back in your pleasure pronto?

A longer-term transformation? Is it more reasonable for you to do an exercise every other day? Every Monday-Wednesday-Friday? On the weekends?
A pick-me-up or reference guide? Would you rather use this as a place to turn to when you need a pick-me-up, like a friend on speed dial who reminds you to return to your body and inner knowing at times when you desire more clarity?

Whatever you desire, choose a plan, schedule it in your calendar, and stick to it.

We can all relate to the back and forth between the different parts of ourselves.
One part sets the alarm; the other part presses snooze.
One part buys the new fitness DVD; the other part hides it in the closet, out of sight.

What are the first things you cut from your to-do list when you get busy? Are they the activities that truly nurture you, like exercise? You're not alone.

With this website, you can practice investing this small amount of time in yourself (5-10 minutes a day). As you do, notice the increased energy, awareness, and enjoyment in your body. It will be worth it.

Be kind to yourself. Honor the path that has gotten you here right now, looking at these words. We are all waking up and remembering our true essence as women -- that we are wise, wild and free. Through our bodies, we can access an incredible and vast amount of deep inner knowing.  Through our physical form, we can express and feel our unique creative power.  Through embracing the gift that it is to be a woman, we learn to go deeper into our somatic experience and revel in the pleasures of slowing down, circling our hips, and owning our sensuality.

Whatever you put your attention on grows stronger. Let your time with EmbodyQoya.com truly nourish all the seeds in your life you are planting and preparing to grow. We are so much stronger than we think and so much stronger together.  Thank you for being here and enjoy the site!
